TAX DEDUCTION
All Donations are eligible to receive a Section 18{A} Tax Certificate enabling the Donor to claim a deduction from personal or corporate taxable income. Donor deductibility applies to cash donations and donations in kind - such as good and services. When you submit the Certificate with your annual income tax return you can get up to a maximum deduction of 10% of your annual tax or ZAR1,000.000 (whichever is greater).
BBBEE POINTS
Donations can qualify organizations to score BBBEE points. A company making a donation to The SmilingOne Foundation can attract up to 25 points on their BBBEE (Broad-based Black Economic Empowerment) score card.
The full value of the contributions made is recognizable if at last 75% of the value directly benefits previously disadvantaged South Africans. The SmilingOne Foundation meets this criteria. We add value to more than 90% previously disadvantaged South Africans (our beneficiaries).
